August 11, 2011
— Sany Heavy Industry
Co., Peachtree City, Ga., has been recognized on the Forbes World’s Most
Innovative Companies List. In the
United States, Sany Heavy Industry subsidiary Sany America said the news
underscores a fundamental commitment to creativity and
ingenuity.
“I am most pleased that our company is acknowledged as a leader in
innovation,†said Sany America President Jack Tang. “For years we have actively
recruited the best engineering and management talent in the heavy equipment
industry, and the market continues to respond very favorably to our business
model,†Tang said.
Sany’s addition to the Forbes list comes only weeks after the
Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer earned its place on the Financial Times
Global 500 List. On the Forbes register, Sany presently ranks 72nd, and company
management predicts that position to move much higher in the
future.
“The successful launch of our flagship SCC8300 crawler crane at
ConExpo 2011 has substantially boosted customer acceptance of our North American
products,†noted Kyle Nape, vice president of global sales and marketing at Sany
America.
“As we move into our new manufacturing and R&D facility later
this year, we will have even greater opportunities to tailor solutions to the
American market,†added Greg Trainer, vice president of Sany America’s Crawler
Crane Division.
In September, Sany America will move to a new 400,000 square-foot
headquarters in Peachtree City, Ga., where the company will produce concrete
pump trucks, cranes, and hydraulic excavators. To date, Sany has invested more
$60 million in the site.
