Sany Names Three Crane Dealers

George Nevins of FSEI (center) signs on as a Sany dealer.
September 2, 2011—Three new crane dealers have joined Peachtree City, Ga.-based Sany America’s network. They are: Four Seasons Equipment Inc., Houston, Texas; Custom Truck and Equipment, Kansas City, Mo.; and Imperial Crane Services, Bridgeview, Ill. The news follows the heavy equipment manufacturer’s recent transition to its North American corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, Ga.

Four Seasons (FSEI) serves the south central region. “Their alliance offers a unique advantage in bringing our equipment to the oilfields and ports in Texas and Louisiana,” said Kyle Nape, vice president of global sales and marketing.

The Texas crane market is geared primarily toward the oilfield services sector, with the majority of demand falling in the 55- to 300-ton range. This year, FSEI delivered three of Sany’s lighter 55-ton cranes and placed orders for 17 of the company’s 100-ton crawlers and 10 65-ton rough-terrain cranes.

Over the past three years, Custom Truck and Equipment (CTE) has fielded three of Sany’s crawler cranes on numerous projects, including bridge, power plant, and parking deck construction. The company, which serves the Midwest, currently has four rough-terrain cranes on order.

“SANY’s cranes have required very little maintenance and proved themselves far beyond our expectations,” said Fred Ross, president of CTE. “The cranes carry a very impressive load chart, and we have seen these machines make many lifts at maximum capacity.”

This year, Imperial Crane Services, which serves the north-central region, ordered four crawler cranes and deployed the flagship SCC8300 model at a wind farm project in Tehachapi, California.

“This expansion of our dealer network extends our crane distribution across the Midwestern and South Central United States,” said Nape. “By the end of next year, we intend to broaden our dealer coverage to encompass the entire continental United States.” He added that Sany America is currently in negotiations with several other regional dealers.
