Sany Rolls Out Biggest RT Crane at ConExpo

March 29, 2017 - At ConExpo, Sany unveiled a new 130-ton rough terrain crane, the SRC8130. As the biggest RT crane in its product lineup, Sany said the SRC8130 is meeting a need in the growing, large RT crane segment.

 

The 130-ton RT crane is equipped with a five-section, U-shaped telescopic boom that can reach 161 ft. when fully extended, and it has a two-section folding jib of 59 ft. The boom telescopes using a double cylinder with rope mechanism. A 321-hp Cummins Tier 4 Final engine powers the crane.

 

Using self-assembly/disassembly, the SRC8130 can easily transport and set up. The gross vehicle weight is 77 tons and can be reduced to 52.5 tons during transport by removing the auxiliary hoist, counterweight, and front and rear outrigger boxes.

 

Other cranes on display at ConExpo were the SRC865C RT crane, which has a maximum lifting capacity of 65 tons, a maximum boom length of 143 ft., and a maximum lifting moment of 2,030kN, and the 85-ton SRC885C rough-terrain crane, which is equipped with a five-section boom that fully extends to 154 ft. and a 52-ft. jib. Powered by a 275-hp Cummins QSB6.7 engine, the 65-ton SRC865C and 85-ton SRC885C comply with Tier 4 Final emission standard.

 

Sany also showed the SCC8260 crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 260 tons. With the longest boom and jib length of 203ft plus 207ft, SCC8260 crawler crane has a maximum lifting moment of 1,470tm. In addition, the 260-ton crawler crane is self-assembled/disassembled to help improve the working efficiency. The crane’s transport width is 9.8 ft. wide, 10.5 ft. high, and weighs only 45 tons.

 

The company also announced at ConExpo that its excavators, motor graders, and wheel loaders will now has a five-year, 5,000-hour warranty.
