Scarborough Leaves Snorkel

June 18, 2008 • The Tanfield Group has confirmed that Frank Scarborough, president of Snorkel International, has parted with the company. He worked for Snorkel from 1986 to 1992 in various capacities and rejoined the company in 2003 as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

The Tanfield Group acquired Snorkel in August 2007. Since then, it has expanded Snorkel's product range in North America, invested $10 million in its production capabilities in Elwood, Kan., and increased its U.S. staff. In the first three months of 2008, Snorkel reported sales of $41.6 million • its strongest start in a decade.

Tanfield did not comment further on Scarborough's departure, nor did it discuss his replacement.
