SC&RA announces Crane and Rigging Job Winners, New Officers

May 19, 2004 - Winners of the prestigious Crane and Rigging Job of the Year contest included one U.S. contractor and two hailing from abroad. The contest hosted by The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA), Fairfax , Va. , is broken down into three job cost categories.

Receiving recognition at the association's 2004 annual conference held in April in Destin , Fla. , were:

  • Under $150,000-Scholpp Crane & Transport, Stuttgart , Germany
  • Between $150,000 and $750,000-Atlas Industrial Contractors, Ltd., Columbus , Ohio
  • Over $750,000- Mammoet Europe BV , Schiedam , Netherlands

Additionally, the company has announced new officers and board members for the 2004-2005 term. These include George Young of George Young Co., Philadelphia , Pa. , as chairman and James White of White Brothers Trucking Co., Wasco , Ill. , as president. Six new board members were also elected. Serving as chairman of the Crane & Rigging Group is Terry Young of Install Inc., Sanford , N.C.
