April 15, 2013—During its Annual Conference this month in Scottsdale, Ariz., the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) elected Ron Montgomery, Intermountain Rigging & Heavy Haul, Salt Lake City, Utah, as president. Officers for the 2013-2014 term are:
- Chairman: Michael Battaini, Sheedy Drayage, San Francisco, Calif.
- Vice President: Alan Barnhart, Barnhart, Memphis, Tenn.
- Treasurer: Delynn Burkhalter, Burkhalter, Columbus, Miss.
- Assistant Treasurer: Bruce Forster, Rigging Gear Sales, Dixon, Ill.
Also joining the Board are four newly elected group chairs:
- Allied Industries Group: Dave Wittwer, Hays Companies, Salt Lake City, Utah
- Crane & Rigging Group: David Cowley, TNT Crane & Rigging, Longview, Texas
- Transportation Group: Geary Buchanan, Buchanan Hauling & Rigging, Fort Wayne, Ind.
- Ladies Group: Cathy Moore, NBIS, Atlanta, Ga.
The newly-elected officers will serve one-year terms that will expire at the association’s next Annual Conference, to be held April 22-26, 2014 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, Boca Raton, Fla.
Additionally, SC&RA elected the following six new board members to serve
three-year terms:

- Bill Tierney, Imperial Crane Service, Bridgeview, Ill.
- Terry Young, Construction Safety Experts, Cary, N.C.
- Jay Follardori, Landstar, Jacksonville, Fla.

- Jay Rozum, MSA Delivery Service, Canton, Mich.
