SIA Elects New Officers at Annual Convention

August 8, 2008 • The Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) held its annual convention and exposition July 20-26 in Denver, Colo. More than 500 scaffold and access equipment manufacturers and dealers attended the convention, exposition, and accompanying committee and council meetings.

At the event, John Miller, outgoing president of SIA, installed the new executive committee during the annual Industry Awards dinner. The committee's term runs from 2008 to 2010.

 

Bill Breault, Jr., Breault Industrial Group, Inc. will lead the association as president of SIA's executive committee. Additionally, Stephen Smith of Edge International has been named president-elect; Randy Moody of the Brock Group was elected vice president; Chuck Hutchinson of Bil-Jax was elected secretary; and Daryl Hare of Waco Scaffolding and Equipment has been named treasurer.

 

Joining the executive committee are Past-President John Miller of the Millstone Corp.; presidential appointee Jeff Stachowiak of Sunbelt Rentals; and board appointees Gene Morgan of Mdm Scaffolding Services and Mike Russell of Power Climber.
