Southern Industrial Constructors Awarded for Safety Commitment

November 22, 2010 – Southern Industrial Constructors, Raleigh, N.C., has been awarded two awards acknowledging its commitment to safety, Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Platinum Award and Specialty Contractor of the Year, by the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC of the Carolinas).

 

In addition, Southern Industrial was named the 2010 Specialty Contractor of the Year. More than 20 companies were nominated for this honor, and Southern Industrial was selected by the Board of Directors of the ABC of the Carolinas based on training and education, safety record, and community involvement.

 

“Safety is a key component of the daily job in our business, and our industry must always be committed to it. On behalf of the entire team at Southern Industrial, we are honored to be recognized for our companywide efforts,” said John Wilson, president of Southern Industrial Constructors and an employee for more than 30 years.

 

Both awards were presented recently at the ABC of the Carolinas Construction Conference in Wilmington, N.C.
