September 26, 2012—Alsip, Ill.-based Sterling Lumber’s C-Channel outrigger mats are designed to increase job site safety, maximize the useable square footage of a crane mat, and provide users with strong, long-lasting mats.
Recommended for maximum load capacity mobile crane protection, the new steel reinforced mats prevent shifting and tipping without sacrificing space or safety at the job site. The mixed hardwood mats are completely framed with welded C-Channel steel bolted together with 1-1/4-inch diameter timber bolts, and they feature a load-bearing steel plate.
Heavy-duty handles are welded to the outrigger mat’s steel framework to facilitate on-site positioning. Sizes are built to customers' specifications and can be shipped anywhere in the world.
