Tadano America Moves into New Headquarters

February 29, 2008 • Tadano America, Houston, Texas, moved into its new headquarters earlier this month. The move to the new facility, a $10 million investment for the company, includes an office building, warehouse, a building for the mounting and service plant, and an exhibition site.

The new headquarters comes in response to the company's plan to push forward with the overseas strategy planned by the Japan-based Tadano Group, which aims at achieving a 50-percent ratio of overseas to domestic sales in fiscal 2009. The company has emphasized strengthening its operations in North America, one of its major global markets. To do so, the company said it became necessary to drastically improve and redevelop a sales and customer support system, as well as to further build up the boom truck business it has established over the years.

The facility includes a parts warehouse building and a new service plant building to strengthen its parts supply system, which will allow it to undertake emergency repair and modification work, enhancing customer support. A new mounting plant for boom trucks was also built to further develop business in that sector, enabling the company to take on mounting work rather than relying on sales distributors.

The grounds also include a location equipped with exhibiting facilities for machine demonstrations and presentations of new products. A training room is also included on-site.

About 40 employees work at the Tadano America headquarters.
