On International Women’s Day, Tadano America Corporation highlighted the contributions of two women leading one of Mexico City’s major mobile crane companies.
Elvia and Ana María Berumen have carried on the legacy of their father, Don Salvador Berumen, as heads of Magruber S.A. de C.V.
The sisters manage a fleet of mobile cranes, oversee a team of 55 workers and handle precision lifting and assembly engineering for loads up to 500 tons.
Operating in an industry still dominated by men, the Berumen sisters have navigated complex challenges while demonstrating leadership and technical expertise.
“For us, being women in this industry is a great pride and a great responsibility,” Elvia Berumen said.
“We are showing that there are no exclusive sectors for anyone, that talent and passion can open any door. We hope to be just the beginning, the first of many women who dare to venture into this world of heavy machinery, lifting and engineering. To women who hesitate to take the first step, we say: trust in your ability, be brave and make history.”
"We want to thank Tadano for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our work and for recognizing the effort we have put into this industry. Having allies who value ability and professionalism regardless of gender is key to continue advancing and paving the way for more women in this sector.”
She also emphasized the importance of support from industry partners. “Having allies who value ability and professionalism regardless of gender is key to advancing and paving the way for more women in this sector.”
Magruber recently expanded its fleet with two Tadano GT-300EL truck-mounted cranes.
