Talbert Manufacturing Hires VP of Engineering

May 13, 2015 - Talbert Manufacturing has named Sam Guron as its vice president of engineering. Guron will oversee Talbert’s engineering and IT departments, which are responsible for designing and launching new products.

 

Guron’s primary role is creating and executing the product development process as well as leading all aspects of the company’s new technology commercialization. With the development process, Talbert engineers continue designing new trailers that meet the customers’ specifications at competitive price points, as well as uphold the trailers’ quality and reliability. He also enforces delivery schedules to ensure customers receive orders within a timely manner.

 

Guron brings 29 years of engineering experience in the heavy equipment, automotive, and nuclear industries to his new role. Prior to joining the team in April, he was a global operational excellence manager for Volvo Construction Equipment, where he integrated a global, new-product development process aimed at simplifying equipment designs for easy serviceability and high reliability. Prior to that, he worked 17 years for Caterpillar in various engineering and managerial positions.

Guron earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Wayne State University in
Detroit.
