TAUC Guide Prevents Jurisdiction Problems

October 10, 2008 • The Association of Union Constructors TAUC Craft Jurisdiction Guide is now being used by a wide variety of organizations in the construction industry, ranging from association professionals to multi-national contractors. The guide is designed to reduce and prevent the problems associated with jurisdictional quarrels, including lost work days, decreased productivity, poor job morale, and negative public opinion.

It is the only available resource where all union craft agreements and materials related to jurisdiction can be found in one place, helping union construction professionals to manage work assignments more accurately, according to the association.

The TAUC Craft Jurisdiction Guide can be purchased by visiting TAUC's online store at www.tauc.org. TAUC is offering a 25-percent discount on the guide from Nov. 1-30, 2008.

TAUC is an association of 2,500 union contractors from across the United States, primarily engaged in steel erection, industrial maintenance and construction. The mission of TAUC is to act as an advocate in advancing and enhancing the value of the union construction industry through an educated and action driven membership that fosters the promotion of labor-management cooperation, workplace safety and health, and collaboration with construction users in order to help union contractors compete more effectively in the marketplace.
