Taylor Crane & Rigging (TCR), based in Coffeyville, Kan., recently attended bauma to receive the power booster unit of their new Scheuerle trailer, the Kamag K-25. The power booster is just four of the 32 lines TCR will receive.  The new trailer will give TCR the power to haul up to 3 million lbs. when all four modules or 32 lines are configured as one unit.

The trailer will allow TCR to move heavy loads in tight conditions. This modular equipment can be broken into 4 units with the capability to move various heavy machinery and equipment such as: transformers, generators, large refinery equipment, vessels and many different types of structures. Jim C. Taylor, president of TCR, feels the Kamag K-25 will provide TCR with new opportunities in the transportation market.

“This trailer will expand our ability to perform heavy haul services throughout the United States,” Taylor said. “It gives us versatility in configurations and allows us to move the trailer into sections in order to utilize it on more than one job at a time.”

Today, TCR hauls over 250 t transformers and power plant equipment. This purchase will allow them to eliminate the need to rent a transport unit from Dallas, the closest available base for a transport trailer of this kind.  The new trailer will open business doors while making jobs more profitable and easier to schedule. TCR plans to receive the partial build of the trailer in late August.
