August 24, 2016 - Taylor Crane and Rigging (TCR) began constructing its new facility in Tulsa, Okla. The 8-acre project includes a crane building/warehouse that will be approximately 40,000 sq.-ft. with the remaining acres being constructed into an engineered hardstand area. Construction will also include renovations of the existing 21,000-sq.-ft. office and shop building.

Headquartered in Coffeyville, Kan., since 1975, TCR expanded to Tulsa in 1988. After two decades of steady growth, TCR purchased an industrial tract of more than 80 acres. Initially, 5 acres of the raw land at 11710 E. Tecumseh were developed into hardstand for heavy vehicles and equipment.

In May 2014, TCR acquired the adjacent 21,000-sq.-ft. office and shop building at 1919 N. Garnett, bringing the Tulsa property up to approximately 85 acres. The current construction project is developing 10% of the Tulsa acreage and is Phase Two of a long-term development plan for the entire property.

Phillips Slaughter Rose and Impact Engineering are providing architectural and civil engineering services for the project, Belongia Consultants, Inc. are providing geotechnical engineering and site observations, while the construction is being self-performed by Taylor’s own personnel.

“We are excited about the possibilities this opens up to better serve our customers’ indoor storage and transfer needs. Protection from the Oklahoma weather will also increase the life of our fleet,” says Jennifer Taylor Despotovic, spokesperson for TCR. The facility will help TCR serve its clients in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas.
