Terex Adds Quick Response Codes to Product Communications
November 17, 2011–Terex Cranes, Westport, Conn., is integrating Quick Response (QR) codes into its latest printed communications to enable customers to quickly learn more about its products from a mobile phone.
Readable by most mobile or smart phones with an existing or downloadable application, mobile phone users can scan printed QR codes with their phone’s camera to access business or product specific information. For Terex Cranes, this option is part of the company’s strategy to quickly provide customers with information they need, and the beginning of the further integration of QR codes into the company’s communications. Currently in its initial stages, the addition of QR codes on Terex communications provides customers and distributors with direct access to the company website. In coming months, users will also gain access to supplementary information, such as product demonstration videos, special offers, and other resources.
