Terex Reintroduces Demag Brand of Crawler and All-Terrain Cranes

April 12, 2016 – This week, Bauma was the site of an announcement by Terex that the crane manufacturer has reintroduced the Demag brand of crawler and all-terrain cranes. The 11 models that make up the all-terrain line range in capacity from 120 to 1,320 tons. The six lattice-boom crawlers range from 400 tons to the massive CC8800-1 Twin, at 3,520 tons capacity.

 

As Terex was making this announcement, seekingalpha.com reported that Konecranes—in competition with Zoomlion to acquire the Terex Cranes product—said it will not engage in a bidding war for Terex, but confirmed that if Zoomlion's bid is successful, the Swedish overhead crane manufacturer would be interested in purchasing Terex' Demag cranes brand.
