The Rental Show Sells Out for Fourth Straight Year

December 12, 2007 • For the fourth consecutive year, exhibit space for the American Rental Association's Rental Show is sold out. In addition, the overall floor space the trade show will occupy in Las Vegas is larger than the 2007 show in Atlanta.

The exhibits for the 2008 show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center will occupy 354,700 net square feet • just 200 net square feet shy of the largest-ever show floors in terms of space. The 1998 Orlando, Fla., and 2000 Anaheim, Calif., shows both occupied 354,900 net square feet. The 2007 Atlanta show was 352,300 net square feet.

Altogether, the 2008 trade show space is more than 17 acres. The heavy construction and light construction/general tool booths will be in the Bayside exhibit halls on the convention center's first level and the party/special event booths will be in the Shorelines B exhibit hall on the second level.

“Interest in exhibiting for 2008 has been high from the very beginning,” said Carla Johnson, ARA director of associate member services, who noted that nearly 60 exhibitors submitted applications for the Las Vegas show before The Rental Show 2007 concluded in Atlanta. “The heavy construction area sold out in early April, while the light construction/general tool area sold out in mid-May. Plus there are waiting lists for all areas of the show floor right now. The rental market is attractive to manufacturers, as they want to get exposure for their products. And getting new companies into the show every year is important, since it allows the rental attendees the opportunity to view and purchase new and unique products that can give them a competitive advantage in their businesses.”

There will be 650 exhibitors in Las Vegas, with 63 companies exhibiting for the first time.

The Rental Show 2008 is Feb. 11-14, with pre-show educational workshops on Feb. 10. Complete information on the Show is available online at www.TheRentalShow.com.
