The Crosby Group Supports Non-Profit Warriors 4 Wireless
June 25, 2014 - Warriors 4 Wireless is dedicated to helping veterans transition to new careers in the wireless industry, and The Crosby Group is supporting the organization by donating lifting and rigging equipment and training, as well as making a financial contribution.
Crosby’s donated equipment will be used to train returning veterans who have completed their military deployments and now wish to seek full-time employment within the telecommunications industry. Communications carriers, utilities, federal agencies, wireless vendors, and system integrators across the United States are experiencing a shortage of qualified and trained workers to support critical projects.
Jason Struthers, CEO of Crosby, stated, “Warriors 4 Wireless is a natural fit for Crosby in that it combines a shared passion to give back to our veterans with an industry that embraces the quality and safety that Crosby’s rigging products and training represent. We are proud to support this venture that assists our veterans as they gain the necessary skills to ensure safety and success in their new vocations.”
According to Pete Stavros, a Crosby director and head of KKR’s Industrials investment team. “This collaboration represents part of a broader effort for KKR’s U.S.-based industrial portfolio companies to partner with not-for-profit organizations that benefit from the use of the companies’ products."
