TIME Manufacturing Achieves MVP Status with NTEA, Promotes New Sales Coordinator

December 8, 2006 • Waco, Texas-based TIME Manufacturing Co. announced it is one of 271 companies that have achieved National Truck Equipment Association's (NTEA) Member Verification Program (MVP) status. The program identifies business practices common to successful companies and promotes increased professionalism by helping commercial truck and transportation equipment industry firms build more profitable, mutually beneficial, and longer-lasting relationships with suppliers, distributors, and customers.

“We are pleased to participate in this program and hope that all members strive to be verified,” said Tom Motyka, vice president of manufacturing. “We take our business commitments seriously, and this designation from NTEA shows our customers that we strive for excellence in order to provide them with the best possible service.”

Initially, MVP participants have been asked to verify to the NTEA that they meet four out of five business processes and certain government criteria. Over time, the NTEA will increase program requirements to encourage even higher standards through set criteria that must be met by distributor and manufacturer members in order to continue to qualify for MVP status. Beginning July 1, 2006, newly qualifying MVPs were required to carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in product liability insurance. Members must re-qualify every three years. The program was first introduced to NTEA members in May 2005.

In other TIME news, Carmen Hogan has been named sales coordinator for its sales administration team. Hogan has been employed at TIME for more than five years, working in accounts payable, purchasing, warehousing, and parts deployment prior to joining the sales team.
