TNT Crane & Rigging Acquires Rocky Mountain Structures

April 28, 2015 - TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. has acquired Rocky Mountain Structures Inc. and its subsidiaries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. RMS provides TNT further geographic expansion in the western U.S. as well as end-market diversification through Colorado's broad group of industry sectors, said Mike Appling, CEO of TNT.

RMS, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Denver, serves the Rocky Mountain region including Colorado and surrounding states. The company’s longstanding local ties and well-diversified customer base make it a natural strategic fit, according to TNT, which also expands its fleet composition with the addition of three Colorado branches and 66 cranes.

RMS serves the manufacturing, industrial, cell tower, power, commercial, and construction markets as well as other end markets. "We are thrilled to be joining forces with TNT,” said Cody Gilliland, CEO of RMS. “The economic outlook is solid for Colorado and the end markets we serve. In addition, the combined company will benefit from opportunities in the energy sector when oil prices and drilling activities return to sustainable levels," he added.
