Track-Mounted Spider Lift Provides Safety in Glass Cleaning Applications

The new Spider Lift track-mounted glass cleaning system is now available.
August 9, 2006 • Buildings with high atriums have very few options when it comes to cleaning and maintaining the glass windows at the top. To help with these types of projects, Teupen America, Reading, Mass., introduces its new Spider Lift track-mounted glass cleaning system for the North American market.

Much like a roller coaster, a 75- to 100-foot Spider Lift is mounted on a track to provide safer access for window cleaning and maintenance. It also saves on labor costs and gives architects the ability to design unrestricted glass expanses.

The Spider Lift track-mounted glass cleaning system has been installed in a number of facilities in Europe to service difficult-to-access high rise buildings, train stations with large glass roofs, malls, conservatoriums, water towers, airports, airport control towers, and radar domes. These systems are factory turnkey engineered for new construction or designed to fit older buildings. The lifts can accommodate a two man crew or engineered for automated self-cleaning for even greater labor savings.
