United Rentals Appoints Dixon as Vice President

May 27, 2008 • United Rentals, Greenwich, Conn., last week announced that Joseph Dixon has been appointed vice president • sales, effective June 9. Dixon, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of equipment rental market experience, will lead the company's strategic sales and business development activities.

Prior to joining United Rentals, Dixon served as global vice president and general manager for JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., an aerial equipment manufacturer and leading supplier to the rental industry. Previously, he served as vice president, pro business and equipment rental for The Home Depot, Atlanta, Ga., with sales and management responsibility for 1,450 North American locations; and as division vice president of operations and field sales for Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation, with executive responsibility for the company's equipment rental business.
