WHECO Adds Two to Staff

February 23, 2009 – Richland, Wash.-based WHECO, a crane and capital equipment structural repair and restoration services company, has added two team members to its staff. Ralf Vieten has been named the vice president of operations for the Aiken, S.C., division of the company.

Vieten will oversee Wheco’s East Coast repair center, managing the day-to-day operations at the facility where a team of skilled technicians provide efficient and cost-effective repair solutions to structurally damaged equipment and components.  

 

Vieten has served as executive vice president of service for Newport News, Va.-based Liebherr Cranes since March 2004.

Michael Hoffmann has been named sales manager for the Santa Fe Springs, Calif., division of the company. A veteran of the construction equipment industry, Hoffmann has worked for more than 17 years in the construction equipment rental industry in Southern California. Most recently Hoffmann was a profit center manager for Sunbelt Rentals. Prior to that, he was a sales consultant for Jack Rubin & Sons and operations manager for Eagle High Reach.

 

“We are very pleased to have Michael join our team here in Southern California,” said Jay Shiffler, vice president of business development for Wheco. “We have made a big commitment to the market with larger full scale facilities and technical personnel, and Michael will give us the opportunity to grow our customer base.”

 

Hoffmann will have regional sales responsibilities and will work out of the Santa Fe Springs facility.
