WHECO Appoints Regional Sales Manager

April 8, 2009 – WHECO Corp., Richland, Wash., announces it has named Steve Pirigyi as its regional sales manager. He will have regional sales responsibilities with the majority of his work flow coming from Wheco’s Aiken, S.C., facility. Pirigyi resides in Valhalla, NY with his wife Joan.

 

A veteran of the crane industry, Pirigyi has more than 40 years of sales and marketing experience. Most recently Pirigyi was an independent contractor supplying various Manitowoc Crane-oriented services for H&E Equipment Services. Prior to that, Pirigyi was a crane salesman with Bell Eastern Corp. in Yonkers, N.Y., and he spent a number of years in the 1980s and 1990s with the Manitowoc-owned distributor Manitowoc-Forsythe in several capacities, including vice president. Later he became a regional business manager for Manitowoc Cranes, eventually retiring in 2003 after more than 36 years of service to Manitowoc.
