Wheco Repair Center Relocates to Larger Facility

Wheco
Wheco has relocated to a larger Southern California facility.

March 31, 2008 • Richland, Wash.-based WHECO Corporation, a structural crane repair and restoration services company, is moving its Southern California operation to a larger crane service center in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. The move is being made in an effort to meet the growing demand for the company's services in the western United States.

Strategically located in Southern California, the 3.2-acre, 44,000-square-foot facility includes three bridge cranes that extend past the outside of the building. The facility will accommodate Wheco's full turnkey crane repair and restoration capabilities.

“We have simply outgrown the existing facility, and we needed more space to be able to provide for our growing customer base,” said Ron Williams, chairman and CEO. The new facility will house a complete fabrication shop as well as a full-service machine shop with multiple service bays allowing for turnkey accident repairs and restorations.

Don Batchelor, general manager, said the new facility will allow the company's technicians to work in a more controlled environment to perform the company's specialized services. “The Santa Fe Springs shop will allow us to be more efficient and increase our ability to manage more work in process,” he said.

For more than 29 years, Wheco has been providing time- and cost-effective engineered structural repair solutions that are compliant, certifiable, guaranteed and warranted.
