Wilkerson Crane Rental promoted Larry Smith to chief operating officer, the company announced on June 9. Smith has been with the Bonner Springs, Kansas-based firm since 2014, serving in a range of operational roles over the past decade.
Most recently serving as general manager, Smith has contributed to Wilkerson’s continued growth through what the company describes as consistent leadership and industry expertise. His responsibilities in the new position will include oversight of both sales and operations functions.
“Larry has more than earned this role through a career built on dedication, hands-on leadership, and a deep commitment to our people and values,” said Cody Ward, CEO of Wilkerson Crane Rental. “I’m grateful to have him step into the role of COO as we continue to work together to execute our aggressive growth plan.”
Smith’s background at Wilkerson includes roles as a crane operator and in various operational positions. The company stated that his work has been instrumental in supporting team members and customer satisfaction.
