Wire Rope Expert Dugan Passes Away

October 30, 2018 - D. Bernard “Barney” Dugan, a long-time AWRF member known to many as “Mr. Wire Rope,” passed away October 23 at home in metropolitan Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by his family. Dugan was AWRF’s official photographer for many years. Dugan’s long career in the wire rope industry included time at Armco Union Wire Rope, WireCo, and F&M Mafco. He is survived by his wife Helen, their five children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
