This Liebherr crawler crane delivers a lifting capacity of 825 US tons. The strengthened main boom and derrick boom has been given the suffix "H" (Heavy), and the powerful boom systems increase the lifting capacity in some areas by up to 30% over the LR 1750. The crane also features a hydraulic drive unit on the ballast wagon and improved platforms and access points for increased safety for operating personnel.
“We purchased the Liebherr LR 1750/2 to better serve our customers in the power and construction industry by increasing our load capacity for crawler crane rental,” says Eddie Duffie, crawler division manager for W. O. Grubb. “We utilize the other Liebherr cranes in our fleet on a daily basis, and they have proven to us to be very high quality and dependable machines. We are very excited of the opportunities that this crane will bring to our company.”
Founded in the 1962, W. O. Grubb now operates 10 locations with a fleet of over 250 cranes ranging from 6 ton carry decks to the latest Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane. The company recently opened a new location in Wilmington, NC to better serve its customers in the Southeast.
