WOC 2008 almost beat last year's record-breaking show.

February 14, 2008 • Dallas, Texas-based Hanley Wood Exhibitions reported earlier this week that the 2008 World of Concrete trade show was the second largest in event history. Hanley Wood, the media company that conducts World of Concrete, reports that this year's show delivered 84,789 professional registrants to Las Vegas, Nev., the week of Jan. 22-25.

With more than 900,000 net square feet of products from 1,700 exhibiting companies, World of Concrete delivered the second-largest event in its 34-year history, second only to WOC 2007's record-breaking show.

“We are very pleased with the support exhibitors and attendees have shown to us when things in the commercial and residential construction communities have been affected by the current economy,” Tom Cindric, show director. “To get this kind of support, especially with other industry events occurring during the first quarter of 2008, really speaks volumes to what the show has become to attendees and the industry alike.”

World of Concrete will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Feb. 3-6, 2009.
