LUBE-A-BOOM Insulator: A Non-Conductive Lubricant Born From Customer Demand
Stop the Chatter — Specialty Lubricants for the Lift Industry

LUBE-A-BOOM®
Founded in 2002 by Harley and Marilyn Wilson, LUBE-A-BOOM is a leader in specialty lubricants for telescoping boom cranes, aerial lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and heavy construction equipment. Harley created the original formula after years as a Grove Manufacturing service rep to eliminate boom chatter.
Formulated in a 100% synthetic base fluid with PTFE and a calcium sulfonate complex, LUBE-A-BOOM grease delivers unmatched performance on sliding surfaces—reducing friction, extending wear pad life, eliminating chatter, and preventing rust. Aerosols and liquids utilize this same proven technology for easy application on chains, cables, and hard-to-reach areas.
Made in the USA, LUBE-A-BOOM is trusted nationwide by OEMs, equipment owners, service techs, and operators.
Born From the Field, Proven in the Field
LUBE-A-BOOM exists because mixing your own “brew” of grease and additives never worked consistently. After decades of watching service people improvise, the founders started with a clean sheet of paper, partnered with a specialty formulator, and put the product through months of laboratory and field testing before the first production run in July 2003. Two decades later, the family of products has grown to cover wire rope, open gears, pins, bushings, and rotation bearings, holding up from desert heat to minus 40 in Northern Alberta, in dust, mud, and everything between. The philosophy hasn't changed: work hard, provide excellent customer service, and always be innovating.

Frequently Asked Questions
LUBE-A-BOOM friction-reducing lubricants are designed for telescoping boom cranes, aerial lifts, telehandlers, and forklifts, on boom sliding surfaces, wear pads, pins, bushings, outrigger beams, and rotation bearings, to stop boom chatter and extend service intervals.
The original formula is a calcium sulfonate complex grease in a 100 percent synthetic base fluid with PTFE, giving superior mechanical and shear stability, less leakage and run-out, and better high-temperature performance than conventional greases.
Traditional cartridges, aerosols, liquids, and bulk sizes including pails, kegs, and drums, so the same formula works for a single boom truck or a whole fleet's service program.
Yes. LUBE-A-BOOM Insulator is a highly dielectric, non-conductive lubricant developed for equipment that operates around electrical power, insulating while it lubricates and protecting against moisture and corrosion.
Yes. The family includes specialty friction-reducing lubricant for wire ropes, draglines, cables, and bearings, used in lifting, open pit mining, crushing, and marine operations, compatible with existing wire rope lubricants.
