Ascent Lifting Acquires Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling

Ascent Lifting Inc. has completed the acquisition of Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling LLC, a Corpus Christi, Texas-based supplier of wire rope, slings, hoists and industrial rigging equipment. The transaction was completed in late October 2025.

Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling will operate as a branch within Ascent Lifting’s CERTEX division following the acquisition. The move expands Ascent Lifting’s footprint in Texas and adds regional service capacity to its existing operations across the state.

Ascent Lifting, a portfolio company of Shorehill Capital, is a value-added distributor and fabricator of lifting and rigging products with 42 locations nationwide. The Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling acquisition marks the company’s fifth transaction to date.

Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling supplies lifting and rigging products directly to end users and provides services including wire rope splicing, mooring and field installation. The company has operated in the Texas market with a focus on industrial rigging and hands-on technical support.

Shorehill Capital, which acquired Ascent Lifting as a platform investment, also cited the strategic fit of the transaction.

Fredrikson & Byron and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP served as legal advisors to Shorehill Capital and Ascent Lifting. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
